Hi Mike. I for one agree with you that moon proximity to the Earth could create a time window during which the chances of an earthquake being triggered were increased. And I expect that this does happen and that it can be statistically demonstrated. What I wanted to stress in my previous note was that I feel that it is important that these types of forecast information should clearly remind people that what are being discussed are probabilities and not certainties. What I believe has often happened in the past is that a news report will be circulated which states or implies that someone predicted that an earthquake would definitely occur on some day when what was actually being said was that the chances were simply greater that one could occur on that day. And when there was no earthquake people came to regard this science as having little value. On another note, my data clearly indicate to me that certain types of electromagnetic energy field fluctuations are occurring which are linked with activities in fault zones around the world which are getting close to fracturing. Geomagnetic storms and low frequency radio waves might also be involved with the signals. One of the main difficulties is with figuring out how to interpret them. Their occurrence times appear to be controlled to a large degree by the locations of the sun and the moon in the sky. And they can be generated on and off for months before the earthquake finally occurs.
