I think one of the most 'exciting' things is this shake map:

Watching as the reports rolled in last night - To think that so many people jump up, head to their computers to see what's happening - then fill out a 'did you feel it' form - within minutes there is 'human' data to back up the shaking data from the instruments - its rather awesome if you think about it.
