I use TrueBasic for my work. It's a compiled, structured language with subroutines and external libraries which can be user-written.

It comes in several versions and the source code is portable to different platforms so a program for PCs can be compiled and run on a MAC for example.

Or you could hire me to write them for you. I've done similar programs for the USGS in the past.
