Petra-see my post on the thread right below. Yes, the solar activity has been a bit higher the last couple of days than before. But, it is not very high-don't forget that these xray and kp plots (etc) are log plots (someone check me here)-so what you are seeing is many orders of magnitude (meaning, thousands or 100s of thousands of times) weaker. Also, I don't see any unusual activity at all on the CA/NV map.
And, if there had been an increase in activity (Iwhich I'm suggesting there is not), it might be related to the M6 off of Oregon and not to solar activity. Show me the meat! (see post below).
