You make a statement here without any way for the reader to check it. If you want us to believe your statistics, you need to tell the parameters you used. Did you eliminate events in aftershock swarms, how many such periods have occurred in the past year, what magnitude limits did you use, what area did you choose. I can get statistics to say anything I want and the result is meaningless.
