You'll see Petra's contest a little way down the list -for first M4 in California. This will be easy to judge-I guess Petra will do it. She may want to clarify if you choose a town and the earthquake occurs offshore, or outside of California, but still closest to your pick, does it count?

Mine is still running also: there still has not been a M3 or larger south of 35 deg, in California or the US California Borderland. Lowell picked yesterday-he is closest on time because everyone else (3 others) picked earlier. I'm using the USGS map, but the catalogue that you chose for contests is the official one. This is easy to judge on time (Lowell) and location separately-I think we only do a combined if it is obvious. Chris
