$.02 worth,
Consult "Worlds in Collision" by Immanuel Velikovsky for "Joshua" references. Also walls of Jericho brought down by earthquake. Many ancient cultures have stories of sun standing still, not setting for 2 or 3 days, and moving backwards,
In any physical pole shift there will be two pivot points where the sun appears to stand still. Also differentiate between physical pole shift and magnetic pole shift.
To any of you who have not reviewed Veliskovsky, he was ostrasized by the scientific community in the 50's as are many who propose radically different ideas. His work is now being seriously re-evaluated in light of current earth changes, solar phenomena, and the general shift of scientific paradigms. "Earth in Upheaval" is another of his works.
If I make take a moment, I am Joy in Waikiki. My particular lifelong interests are ancient cultures, pole shift, ancient prophecies, parapsychology, mysticism, astrology, the new physics, metaphysics, and re-incarnation. I follow your discussions to relate them to the timing of predicted earth changes in many prophecies and to keep up with the current methods of prediction.
I realize that this forum is not the place for discussion of these various subjects. From time to time as questions in these areas arise, I will post where more information may be found. I will not engage in discussions here. For more information you may e-mail me at the link below.
That said, I am particularly interested in the large chunk of real estate on the Big Island near Kileauea that is poised to either slip or crash into the Pacific. It was recently mentioned as having undergone the first known "silent earthquake". We have had a day or two of heavy rain and it looks to continue throughout the week. Apparently this is one of the precursors of a catastrophophic collapse of this unstable land. I don't know how much shaking is going to be required for it to let go, nor do I know what the consequences will be for my island of Oahu.I have e-mailed the geologists at the USGS at the Hawaii National Volcano Park but have not received and answer. I realize that you are mainly concerned with California and the West Coast but any information would be greatly appreciated. I'm new at this posting stuff so I hope I haven't committed any cyber faux pas.
