Forecasting effort developments

The following are some recent developments.

ANIMAL TYPE EARTHQUAKE SENSITIVITY

I have known for a number of years that the following group existed somewhere. But I was only recently able to determine where they are located. They have reportedly been investigating and have published a number of technical papers related to phenomena such as “earthquake lights” and how animals are able to sense that an earthquake is approaching.

IRC “CHAT ROOM” PROGRAMS

As stated in a note some time ago, I believe that it might be worthwhile to have people around the world who are interested in discussing the details of when and where some expected earthquakes are going to occur meet at appropriate times in an earthquake forecasting Internet Chat Room. A freeware, downloadable IRC access program often referred to as VIRC can be found at the following Web address:

If and when time permits I am planning to see if I can get such a forecasting communications resource organized. I now have some HTML code which can be added to a Web page which should enable most site visitors to be automatically connected with a particular earthquake Chat Room.

EARTHQUAKE FORECAST RESEARCH ORGANIZATION

My personal earthquake forecasting program relies in part on sun, moon, and ocean tide crest and trough position information. And it is in my opinion producing increasingly accurate forecasts. But the processing routines which it uses need to be installed in a computer program so that they will produce more accurate results in a timely manner. Some other people’s forecasting programs are also I feel probably producing accurate data. And unfortunately, it appears to be almost impossible to find any groups or governments around the world which are interested in developing those different approaches to forecasting earthquakes.

Not long ago I met with legal experts and discussed with them how to establish an organization which would focus on the development of earthquake forecasting programs and other lifesaving types of efforts. I am now trying to make a final decision on whether or not to proceed with the establishment of such an organization. Running it would require a considerable amount of time and energy. However, if successful it might provide us with about the only way to get any work done on some of these projects.

These are my personal opinions.
