Quiet in Southern California Contest Rules

Since I instigated this, I guess I get to make the rules (most defined in original post). I neglected to make a closing date before-Let's see-by the end of tomorrow UT (April 28)-or it closes earlier if a M3 occurs. Canie and Catherine get extra credit for early forecasts, but they can reset their times by the end of the 28th UT if they choose to (which they better, because I think their windows are expiring). You can only have 1 entry. You do not predict magnitude: it is defined as the first M3.0 or larger to occur, using the catalogue that Roger uses. It has to be South of 35 deg N, and within California, including the US offshore Borderland to the base of Patton escarpment (to the deep ocean floor) (so Calexico aftershocks do not count). You predict a central location, and you predict a time. No need to predict a radius or range of times. Probablity of occurrence does not come into play either-choose the most likely.

I would think that this contest would muddy the waters for Don who is trying to establish a track record. Or, he can have an unofficial prediction for this contest and a parallel prediction with all the usual parameters.I said that I would not participate or judge-a judge volunteer? This should be simple to judge: only distance from center point and time from single time.

This is for fun. Let me know if it messes up the more serious prediction that goes on here and I won't do it again.

The USGS map shows only a single earthquake of any size in the last 24 hours in the contest area-and it looks like a M1-2.
