The activity slows down at the sites mentioned but the reports come through eventually I presume?

I noticed that you mentioned a 22 year cycle. This in reference to the solar activity cycle?

There are a number of connections or coincidents with the cycles of the moon and solar activity. Or do you already know this?

The 27.3333333 days for the orbit of the moon and the 29.5 day cycle of phases for instance. I believe that they tie in with the length of time it takes for sunspots to rotate at the solar equator and at its "tropics."

The moon is inclined to the eccliptic by about 5* so that over the course of 11 years (I forget) it has a monthly "tropic" that extends 5* past 22.5* N and S and diminishes to 5* less than 22.5*.

Also the orbit of Jupiter is in a similar time scale. You may know or find more such coincidentae. I used to collect such stuff but have lost most of it as I couldn't find a point to it.
