Hi EQF. The Western Pacific and parts of Central Asia covers more then a million square miles. It doesn’t say anything about a quake of any kind might occur in the Philippines, or anyplace else for that matter.

For an earthquake prediction to be useful it must have a specific location, the date and the magnitude. I use a 5 day window, a 35Km radius. The magnitudes are the overall average of past quakes for that area. There in lies the problem. Anyone of those quakes that I forecast could be the next major quake. I have no way of knowing that and I dare say that no one else does either.

It may seem to you and others that I’m picking on you, but I have a real hard time with anyone claiming, or insinuating that they predicted a certain quake when the prediction made covers more then a million square miles. Take Care…Don in creepy town
