M4.8 near Istanbul

The NEIC shows a 4.8 in Marmara Sea, Turkey. I took the location and looked at Fig 1 map by Le Pichon et al in Earth and Planetary Science Letters 192 p. 595-616. It is very close to the main active strand(s) of the North Anatolia fault in the Central Basin. While I'm not real familiar with the history, I've looked at Marmara Sea papers and a little data in the last year or 2. I would suppose any EQ that size in that position would be of concern-in my opinion it is one of the World's great seismic gaps when you talk about Risk (hazard plus population).
