Will do, Chris. I'll report back in the next day. There were some very good papers on seismic risk in that region following the Koeceli earthquake of August, 1999. The conclusions were that that earthquake had strained the area near Istanbul, and that the next big earthquake in the region could easily be in the Istanbul region, perhaps 10-20 years earlier than without the Koeceli quake (whenever that might be). By the way, there was another Ml 4.8 on the eastern end of the Anatolian fault about 8 hours earlier. Not sure if there is any connectivity there. A good list of more precise epicenters for Turkey can be found from the Kandili observatory. The link is below.
