Hi All,

Most likely everyone has noticed something unusual happening in quake patterns throughout the State of California, but I thought I'd throw it out here for the sake of discussion.

Of late we've seen this:

60+ quakes near Calexico
6+ quakes in Berkeley
4+ quakes in Milpitas

As for Calexico, frankly I think an entire segment of the fault is making ready to let go and its doing it a bit at a time.

But the Hayward Fault has a whole different thing happening there. It has been a very long time since we have seen such activity at both ends of the fault and I'm not sure this is a good thing. My general thoughts are either that we will see a larger quake >3 at either Berkeley or Milpitas or perhaps some place like San Leandro or Hayward itself is going to deliver a >3 quake. It sure augurs watching.
