Cathryn And Petra. San Andreas Seismic Gap

Hi All. I have been burning the midnight oil again. I recently received an e-mail from a person who wishes to remain anonymous about a so called “seismic gap” on the San Andreas fault. For those who aren’t familiar with the term “seismic gap” this is an area along the fault that has no, or very little seismic activity. Activity from January 1969 to July 1989 shows very little activity in the area of the Loma Prieta quake.

After the 1989 earthquake the frenetic burst of activity associated with this major earthquake filled in most of the Loma Prieta gap leaving two seismic gaps.

One of the gaps is the San Francisco Peninsula. To be more precise it is the segment of the San Andreas fault about 10Km north of Portola Valley. Just recently Petra had an ear tone that may be associated with this segment of the fault. Cathryn may also have had some ear tones (some of which woke her up) associated with this segment of the fault. The database for Cathryn is still too small to make a firm determination as to the meaning of her ear tones. Cathryn and Petra are unaware of each other’s ear tones, but there isn’t much more then a couple of days between the two as to when they hear them. Now if Cathryn would be more precise in the times she hears them. In case you’re wondering that is a hint for her to be a little more accurate with the timing of her ear tones.

The 2nd seismic gap is about 15Km south of Parkfield. This may be the location of Petra’s “deep, dark and ugly.” I still have the opinion that it is the segment of the Great Valley fault south of Avenal. Take Care…Don in creepy town
