Relation between solar flare and subsequent Ml 4.7 earthquake in Central California

Thanks to those of you who have been following the solar and earthquake activity
lately. I thought it might be worthwhile, however to emphasize the relation between
the solar flare of Dec. 28 and the subsequent earthquake in Central California.
SEC shows the flare occurring with the following parameters:

5440 + 2002 2045 2132 GO8 5 XRA 1-8A X3.4 1.3E00

That is it began at 20:02UT and maximized it's output at 20:45 UT (12:45 PST). The
flare commencement (and first flare effects on the earth) began at 20:02 (12:02)
while the longitude 121W was exactly sub-solar, i.e. the sun was directly overhead
at this longitude when the first flare effects arrived. The maximum effect on the
earth would therefore be expected at this longitude.

less than half an hour after the flare maximized the following earthquake occurred
in Central California:
ML 4.7 2001/12/28 13:14:01 36.641N 121.252W 6.8 16 km (10 mi) NW of Pinnacles, CA

Since this event occurred at the exact sub-solar longitude of one of the largest
flares in the past several months and during the duration of that flare, it is difficult
NOT to consider that a triggering effect may have been involved. What is difficult
to believe is that some people are so closed-minded that they instantly reject such
events as "coincidence" no matter how often such events occur in conjunction with
each other. Those who have been reading this board for some time know that this
is really quite a common occurrence for sub-solar longitudes to show a strong
earthquake during a solar flare or shortly thereafter, and statistics show this is a
highly significant relationship. A trigger is involved whether we can currently identify
the exact physics or not. It seems a fruitful area for a smart PhD student out there
somewhere - and I'll bet a few read this board.
