Brian getting kicked off EEC

Well, I'm going to butt in here, because I believe an injustice has been done. Callie, I just read Brian's gif thread and don't know why he was banned. I see no rudeness, no obnoxiousness, just respectful discussion using the scientific method as a communication medium. All Brian did was disagree with you and point out that in science, the burden of proof is on the one making the extraordinary claims. He was right, also, to note your ad hominen attacks.

As for typos, we all make them. Consistencies in typos alert the reader to a lack of spelling skills, and perhaps educational lapses. But I think he made one typo. Why was that even an issue? And then there is the topic of the site's format. Even I have written to both you and Kim that I thought the format didn't work. You may want your site to be different, but it isn't very practical the way it is set up. It's really cumbersome to navigate the different threads under different headings. He is right that when more than two people get "talking," it is hard to follow who is responding to whom.

I hope I don't get banned from EEC for expressing my views, here.

I think in all fairness, you and Kim should let Brian back on EEC. All he did was spar with you logically.

BTW, how is the book selling? Are you getting tired yet of publicity junkets? Gawd, I hated those. I'm a homebody at heart, although I really enjoyed Minneapolis, Boston, and Philly. And yes, my escort took us to eat one of those Philly cheesesteaks. My one and only, as I found it so repugnant I couldn't even make a dent in the thing. Blech.

Respectfully,

Cathryn
