"While perusing your site, your sphere demo crashed Safari."

Sphere demo? Could you provide a link please? Safari, that's on a Mac, right?

"I noticed a diversified list of interests. What field do you work in, if I may be so bold?"

All "hobbies". Although I did go to school for electronics. But I hold no degrees what-so-ever. I don't have the patience to deal with the rigid structure of the educational system.

I find it humorous when I am chided for being closed minded and bigoted in the views I express. My way of thinking and doing things often clashes with those around me, and has often gotten me into trouble for not doing things "their way", for thinking so far outside the box. Yet I am called closed minded and dogmatic. (those folks should look in a mirror sometime as I see exactly those qualities in them)

But, I am an autodidact. It's worked for me as I seem to be gifted with an uncanny ability to learn and rememeber technical stuff very easily, no matter the subject. If it interests me, I read about it, and I remember it easily - or at least enough to remember where/how to look it up to verify information for use in a discussion. And I have plenty of reference books.

Most of my jobs have been as a technician of one type or another. I have worked in electronics, done data entry on AFIS systems, and worked various positions in CD and DVD manufacturing. But, I have also worked in a warehouse driving a forklift.

Also, and this one I bring up only because Cal Orey keeps making an issue about being published, but I do have experience related to a small format quarterly magazine. I've written articles, done cover artwork, and was editor for a few issues. This didn't work out because I fell into that trap of trying to mix friendship with business and money. Distribution was in excess of 20k units each quarter. My work was done under pseudonym which is standard fare for the type of fringe 'zine that it was, although it could be picked up in major retailers, including places like Barnes & Noble, Tower Records, and Borders. But mostly for personal reasons I prefer not to mention the titles.

Currently I work in a management position. I should clarify that I don't really manage people, but all the other stuff applies that involve the day to day running of the facility and working with customers.

So, does this help give you a picture of who I am? I know I tend to be very guarded with what I say about myself, but it's a freaky world here on the internet.
