How fortunate of me to have gotten online yesterday evening around 9:00 PM central time and noticed the kp index was up to around 8. I had been checking it ever since the solar flare on the 4th. Noticed a reddish orb glow in the northern sky about that time. Got back out around midnight but never saw it again, the viewing here at my house isn't great toward the north. Will seismic activity pick back up around Mt St. Helen's when the proton flux goes back down?
