Since it has been 5-6 days since the strong geomagnetic storms, this activity at
Mt. St. Helens may be a result of Ohmic heating from those storms. The slight
swarm at Mammoth Lakes may be related as well. Statistically, the areas of
volcanism (volcanos, mid-ocean ridges etc), usually do become most active between
4-6 days after a strong geomagnetic storm.
