I remember dib mentioning that gut feelings had no place in a scientific discussion. He's probably right, but I'm going to make this prediction from gut instinct anyway.

Based on the pattern's I've been seeing, I'm predicting that a mag 6.0 or greater quake will hit somewhere between Los Angeles and San Francisco by next Monday, Nov 5th 2001.

Theres a lot of real estate in between I know, but with all the faults in the area it's all but impossible to tell where the stress will be relieved next. I'm doing this based on recent solar activity, the quakes occuring to the south in Mexico and Anza CA, the patterns we've noticed with swarms occuring on Sundays, and the level of increased activity along all faults in the region.

If I'm wrong I promise not to make another prediction for at least a month :-). If I'm right I hope all of you are kept safe, and that damage is minimal.
