Re: New LA Swarm-Another question |
"They are making themselves felt" That is an understatement. It seems that EVERYONE feels the 2s as well. I don't and I'm only 3-5 miles from these 2s. But today, finally, at work, at about 325PM I felt my seat quiver and my computer monitor bounce a little, only for no more than 2 seconds, heard nothhing, felt nothing of the building moving, just my little space for that brief moment. Turned out it was a 2.5 in Century City (I was in Santa Monica.) So now I can join the 2 point felt club. It is difficult to consider these aftershocks of 9/9 because they are sporadic and all over. I've seen what aftershocks look like and they are usually clustered right on the epicenter, like Coso Junctinon or Hector Mine. The exact shock of 9/9 was at La Cienega and Beverly Blvd. (Under Cedars Sinai of all places!), so far a lot of the so called aftershocks have been under Century City, Silver Lake, Brentwood, Marina Del Ray, Long Beach and Fillmore. None of which are in a straight line North or south or on top of Beverly and La Cienega. I don't think these are aftershocks. I hope they are not foreshocks either, just random events, but the more they keep happening, the more ANY professional statician would say these are not coincidental or random events.
