Fault in common - the first 4.2 was at the intersection of the Hollywood fault and the Newport-inglewood fault - most of the past day's 3's and 2's were closer to the Santa Monica fault but just because they were close doesn't mean that's the fault....

They are calling them all aftershocks to the 4.2 on Sept 9th.
