Yep. My mom has told me in past conversations about having to buy flood insurance when we lived in north LB when I was little. She's familiar with flood zones from her days in real estate.

Technically, a lot of people around here are in flood zones.

I recall many times coming across flooded streets and neighborhoods during past el nino storms. I don't mean a few inches either. More like feet.

Haven't heard the term "urban flooding" used in a loooong time, though. Been pretty dry lately, hasn't it?
