Update – August 4, 2013

My present best guess is that the high intensity signals detected this past week were related to the shallow 5.7 magnitude earthquake that just occurred off Canada's West Coast. Distance and depth appear to strongly affect these EM Signals. More distant or much deeper earthquakes would probably need to be at least 6.5 in magniutde before I would detect any signals.

My EM Signal data from this past week are still being processed. So I can't say too much yet about the expected earthquake or volcanic activity. But I can say that based on past experiences, if it were going to be volcanic then we would have seen the volcano erupt by now. If it were that Canada earthquake then its computer program chart line should match at least one of my EM Signal chart lines. That is how I match EM Signals with earthquakes.

Earthquake Warnings are not being circulated based on Ear Tone data alone. However, when those types of data are available they are factored into my forecasting Web page charts.

EM Signal data processing efforts have been was slowed dramatically by last week's failure of one of my backup computers, the crash of a speech to text computer program also around the same time (on a different backup computer), and the crash of my primary backup external hard drive, also at about the same time.

Without my knowing it they must all have been communicating with Roger's computers that seem to spend more time crashing than they do running (humor intended)!

Fortunately my primary earthquake forecasting and Internet activity computer is running fine just as it has since it was purchased years ago.

I had to basically reload and then retrain that speech to text program that is used to collect and process EM Signal data. Retraining involves having it listen to you talk for a while. It then sets its internal controls to recognize your voice patterns.

My backup tower computer was just old and had been through at least a million modifications. It has now been replaced by another XP tower system that has an enormous disk drive and lots of other nice features.

I still don't know why my very high quality backup terabyte external drive crashed. Luckily, unlike Roger, I plan for disasters like that and actively maintain several layers of backups. Periodically my entire E-mail directory including all of my E-mail addresses is copied to one or two backup external drives. That takes a while because my E-mail directory is enormous!

On another note,

All board visitors who are not sitting in wheel chairs in nursing homes should take an interest in my forecasting work simply to make it easier for me to find time to work on other humanitarian efforts. Some of those efforts might eventually save their lives or the lives of their friends and relatives, or help save their jobs.

One of my most important projects involves efforts to get the U.S. and other countries to help develop technologies that will provide us with more environmentally safe, affordable energy such as lower priced car fuel.

No energy means no job means no income.

Government officials agree with me about that. But they are still not doing anything except bragging about how much more natural gas the U.S. is now getting as the result of fracking processes. And now our natural gas companies want to sell the new supplies of gas to European countries so that those poor, poor people don't have to import natural gas from Russia. In my opinion the real reason is that the natural gas companies believe that the Europeans will pay more for the gas than U.S. consumers will.

With another effort I am attempting to get governments to develop large, orbiting mirrors that can be used to illuminate entire cities after a major disaster such as a destructive earthquake, tornado, or flood has occurred.

Rescue workers would not have to generate 100% of their own light. The reflected sunlight would be dim. But that would be a lot better than no light at all.

We have the means to easily develop those solar reflectors. And they would cost relatively little. I have repeatedly contacted U.S. Energy Department personnel about developing them. But U.S. officials as a group don't seem to have any sense of direction as far as I can tell. In fact, most people would probably be shocked if they really understood what a miserable job U.S. government officials are doing with nearly everything.

One of my projects involves simply creating a list of my other projects (perhaps three dozen of them) and storing the list on one of my Web sites. There are so many projects including quite a few advanced medical technology projects that it will take me at least a day just to add the necessary details to the existing list and then store it on a Web page!

These are personal opinions.
