Update – August 5, 2013

Original reports listed the following earthquake as having a 5.7 magnitude:

2013/08/04 13:22:27 49.68N 127.41W 10 5.3 Vancouver Islands Region
NEIS Data

More data need to be processed. And that might get done later today. However, it appears that as I suspected, that approaching Canada earthquake was at least partly responsible for some or most of those strong EM Signals that were detected on July 30, 2013.

This is actually difficult for me to believe because of the relatively low magnitude of the earthquake. But, my data indicate that this could be the case. And there is one piece of data that is the strongest indicator of that.

The first strong EM Signal in quite a while was detected on July 3, 2013. And I posted an Earthquake Warning to this board on July 4, 2013. However, I had the date of the warning listed as July 3.

That Canada earthquake computer program chart line matches that July 3 EM Signal and several others that were detected on July 30. And that is consistent with my older data. An earthquakes will often occur multiples of roughly 7 days after a strong EM Signal is detected. And one month and two month time delays are common.

After a long period of detecting very few strong EM signals the entire month of July was filled with them. And now even the low intensity signals have stopped.

This is all very complicated. Even after years of studying these data I still don't understand all of what is involved with these signal generation processes. But energy fields or strain transfer associated with those 7.3 magnitude earthquakes back in July might have interacted with that Canada fault zone causing some of those July signals to be generated. I was wondering why none of the signals seemed to match those 7.3 magnitude earthquakes even though they occurred during my normal 5 day Time Window following the detection of a strong EM Signal.

After the other data are evaluated I will probably downgrade my Earthquake Warning to an Earthquake Advisory now that the Canada earthquake has occurred.

This looks like it could be a new record. I can't recall ever detecting such strong signals before such a low magnitude earthquake that did not occur within a few hundred miles of where I live.

These are personal opinions.
