I've been trying to buy a house. The price was right, the location perfect. The agent assured me I qualified.

Then the financial officer got the application.

Not enough income, even though the price was lower that a down payment on a conventional house or a new car.

The owner lowered the price.

Still no go; extra cash was needed. I don't have enough.

The owner said "No problem, I'll talk to the financial guy and get back to you".

He didn't get back.

Oh well....
