Eastern Standard time vs. Universal time vs. M8.0 quake

O.K. I just posted above and the time stamp was 1 hour later than my Central Standard time. So, this is Eastern Standard Time. Universal Time is Eastern Standard Time plus 5 hours. EQF's post about all the low intensity EM signals is time stamped 14:53:10 February 5. The M8.0 was Feb 6 01:12:27 UTC. So EQF's post was a couple of hours before the quake. Interesting! Not a prediction but seems like there could be something real going on.

Brian: this is a strong reason to not allow editing of posts. Or, if there is any editing of posts, there should be a new time stamp for the post. Can you conform that all posts are in Eastern Standard time (it used to be Mountain Time). Will this change to Eastern Daylight savings time?

See my post above about the foreshocks for this quake. Like Tohoku, there was something going on with the subduction zone before the quake.
