Attn: Shan – January 28, 2013

Hi Shan,

It has come to my attention that there are some events taking place on the bulletin board of someone who used to post notes to this board. And I can only wonder what is taking place in the mind of the person posting those notes.

I haven’t visited that board myself probably ever. But perhaps someone else posting notes here can tell you where it is located.

It seems that you yourself have now been somehow dragged into what I have to consider to be a very strange story that seems to have no end. Actually it is probably quite amusing as in my opinion it shows how far the human imagination can go.

This is a Web page where I have some Total Electron Content (TEC) based forecast information that was sent to me around November 6, 2012 from an earthquake researchers or group of researchers living in the Europe - Asia area.

http://www.freewebs.com/eq-forecasting/Researchers.html

I have permission to use that person or persons’ name or names in connection with the material. But I deliberately avoided listing them on my Web page to keep any problems from developing. One never knows what can happen on the Internet. However, in your and Roger’s case and Dr. Pavel Kalenda’s case I do use your name in these posts etc. because you are already active on the Internet using your own names. That is not the case for the person or persons who sent me the TEC data.

On November 22, 2012 I posted a note to the sci.geo.earthquakes Newsgroup about that TEC information. And then on December 18, 2012, nearly a month later, the person posting notes to the bulletin board mentioned at the top of this post posted a response to my original note that clearly appeared to me to be accusing me of getting that TEC data from that person’s Web site.

In fact it is my understanding that the person or persons who sent me the TEC data got their original data from one or both of the following Web sites.

http://iono.jpl.nasa.gov/latest_rti_global.html

http://www.ips.gov.au/Satellite/2/2

I didn’t know that the maps on those sites were detailed enough to generate accurate forecasts. But it sounds like that is actually possible if they are continuously monitored.

Anyway,

It appears to me that because my Web page says that the TEC data came from a source in the Europe – Asia area, because no names were mentioned on my Web page, and because you are from that area and we compare notes on this bulletin board, and because of who knows what else,

The one and only possible conclusion (in that person’s mind) appears to be that:

YOU must have been the source of those TEC data.

At least that is what that person is reportedly claiming on that bulletin board from what I understand.

To set the record straight, you were NOT the source of those data. As far as I am aware you work only with sun shadow data.

So, here is that person’s track record from what I can tell. And it might be even worse than this:

Claim # 1: The TEC data mentioned on my Web site came from that other person’s Web site. – WRONG !!!

Claim # 2: YOU (Shan) were the source of those TEC data. – WRONG !!!

So, that is 2 out of 2 absolutely WRONG. And that person reportedly claims that he or she or they can forecast earthquakes!

Would you listen to forecasts being generated by someone who is out there poking claims at other people when it sounds like those claims must have had their origins on another planet?

As I proposed earlier, one never knows what types of strange things can happen on the Internet.

These are personal opinions.
