No, it's a problem with them not showing properly in posts. The USGS links contain symbols that get interpreted as formatting commands by the software. Even when I use the formatted code function to post them they come out munged.

I guess we'll just have to use a link shortening site, such as http://goo.gl/

For example, this SHOULD take you to the view I've bookmarked for myself to look at CA/NV quakes - http://goo.gl/ZG2dLM - although these are not permanent.
