One other point - Lowell posted a note below about a conversation with the cal-tech folks - more quakes are getting put on the map sooner - the little ones.

So Yes, you are seeing more quakes on the map - and No, it doesn't mean that LA is having more quakes - you are just aware of them now.... Make sense?
