During the subduction quake he was on leave from the hospital he worked at..doing his masters work which is now almost complete. The name of the Emergency Team in Seattle is Project White. It first started about 5 years ago when heavy snows in the area caused hundreds of serious injuries... They have adapted the work to fit most disasters. All Project White people are on 24 hour call which means that they must report to the hospital where they are in residence as soon as possible after a tragedy. PW has bi-monthly meetings for updates on current situations. At the SD quake Chris was still a PW member, but not subject to 24 call. And for the next two months he will be on voluntary call, but resumes his 24 hour call sometime in December after he finishes his board exams.
