Following are the number of felt events within 25 km of the W. Hollywood epicenter since
1973. The increase in activity in 1994 was the aftershocks from Northridge. It would
appear that the area has now returned to background in terms of felt events - about
4 per year. However, the activity over the past 2 weeks is not included here, and
the 15 aftershocks of the W. Hollywood earthquake and numerous foreshocks in
the general area certainly is unusual seismicity for the area.
