There was a Ml 2.7 earthquake near Redding, CA today. This is near
the region in which Don had predicted a Ml 2.3-3.8 earthquake starting
on 8 September. Don's prediction (Post #9245) was:

Third forecast is for a 2.3-3.8Md quake 30 miles west of Orland, California,
or 4 miles south of Whitlock Place, California. This should occur on 09/10/2001.
Window opens on 09/08/2001 and closes on 09/13/2001. Radius on this is 40Km.
Post # 9275 The Lat/Long for the Orland quake is 39.8N/122.7W. "

NCSN is reporting the following:

This event falls about 90 km NE of the predicted epicenter but
is within the time and magnitude range.
Of course, the prediction runs for 5 more days, so no evaluation
will be made at this time.

By the way, there was a series of Ml >4 earthquakes in the Vancouver Island
region today. Where was Petra on this one, she usually calls these - I guess
her move is keeping her otherwise occupied.
