For Lowell. A Hypothetical Question |
Hi Lowell. I have a hypothetical question for you. Let's say that with a normal quake the acceleration is 5,000 miles per second and a slow quake is 1,000 per second. As the Trinidad quakes are occurring in what has been described as a rift zone do you have any idea as to what the signature of a quake would like that had an acceleration of 2,000 miles per second? In other words the earth is opening, or separating with a velocity somewhere between a slow quake and a normal quake. I also wonder if there are any mine shafts in the area of the quakes. If there are, could 5 or 6 rock bursts occur in a tunnel? Take Care…Don in creepy town Follow Ups: ● Re: For Lowell. A Hypothetical Question - Lowell 14:06:55 - 9/8/2001 (9369) (0) |
