It runs basically parallel to the Newport-Inglewood - There is a series of hills that start in Baldwin Hills, go thru Dominguez Hills, then Signal Hill, then on down to Newport - Then on thru to Dana Point via the San Juaquin Hills -

Its all along the coastal area down here - The 'new' fault(s) are thrust faults - they make the Hills around here.
