Today, Desmond Casey, the Police Officer and Air National Guard Rescue Pilot was laid to rest. A beautiful memorial service at the Performing Arts Center in downtown San Jose. Among all the people to speak it was his mother who had everyone laughing with stories of his childhood and adult hood. Desmond was a man who touched so many lives in San Jose. The family received many awards from the Police Dept and Air National Guard for his bravery. A very moving mass and memorial. A fly-by with several police helicopters, 3 Air National Guard Helicopters, and a C-130 to honor him. May he rest in peace.
And to his family and fiance I pray for peace, stregnth, and healing in their time of grief.
