I prefaced what I said that this was a "Theory" from an archaeologist from TV and what "HE" had studied and put forth.

So...I think you have me all wrong and took this as "I" said it, which I did not. This was what this man had said that he had studied and followed from "His" studies of Anthropogy. I was not trying to say that this is the "Truth", only a Theory.

And....I too am white, however, my heritage is Melungeon, from the East Coast when my ancestors were thrown on the shore and left! In that race of people are...(1) Black (2) Portugese (3) Mediterranean stock (4) Cherokee Indian! So as you can see, I for one am proud of a heritage of people who were lost in history and only brought forth out of the "darkeness & shame" that were put upon these people called Melungeon's!!

If I offended you, I am truly sorry, but I think you need to go back and re-read what I was trying to say....That someone else had come forth with as a Theory! And I feel that I have been unjustly attacked for this. But, since I do not want this Board to become what Jim's Board has become with attacks and arguing, maybe I had just not post here anymore and just read and that way I don't have to worry about offending anyone.
