My husband saw that helicopter go down. According to him the pilot and the mechanic died instantly. He just got back from lunch and drove that street just 10 minutes before the accident. I'm glad he didn't decide to stay at the restaurant 10 minutes longer! He thought that probably the pilot was trying to steer the helicopter away from the buildings to avoid injuring others.
