Approximately 12 hours prior to the Hector Mine quake, a friend of mine told me that hundreds of black crows had gathered on her roof as well as the rooftops of her neighbors. The birds seemed upset and nervous. Maybe just a coincidence I thought. Right now as I am typing this at 10:45 am on 10/27/99, many black crows (several dozen at least) have congragated in the nearby pine trees. They seem upset. Swarming about the trees and cawing very loudly. I've never seen anything quite like this. It's really wierd. Hopefully just a coincidence.
