That was an interesting article and especially the part where it said seismologists are unable to predict earthquakes. I'd have to differ with that statement widely. I wonder what they call the warnings they get from Parkfield, just alerts so they state can warn people or what? Maybe there is a diffence between an alert and a prediction. On the materials I have from the USGS it says quite plainly Parkfield is a prediction experiment. Seems to me as I last recall everyone involved in Parkfield is a seismologist. Odd huh?
