Speaking about radon, I've always wondered why the USGS doesn't monitor this and other known precursors such as well water levels, disturbances in the magnetic field, rising and falling of the earths crust, etc. Some of these they do monitor but in only a very few locations. And then everytime something shows up its something wrong with the instruments recording the change. This just seems to me a display of a complete disinterest in trying to make prediction a possibility.
