I believe that the Government DOES know how to predict EQs. 24 hours before the Northridge EQ stealth bombers flew out of the airforce base near Las Vegas on an hourly basis taking infra-red pictures of the area. When I was told this in confidence I was angry.....I thought the Government owed it to the people to warn them. I was ask, "If you knew there was going to be a large EQ, what would you do?" I answered, "I would check my supplies, check the house over, get the Saint Bernards organized and sit tight." He laughed and responded, "That's what a rational person would do, but what about the other people that would panic? You would have grid-lock with people trying to leave the area, rioting, etc., etc., etc." I see his point; and yet......... I STILL WANT TO KNOW!!!
