My office-mate was just up in the Seattle area doing the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer - it was 100 degrees on Friday (or saturday) and 90 something the other day and then dropped to 85 on sunday - this is unusually warm weather for this area of the country. Many of the walkers were having problems with the heat. I guess its not too surprising given the circumstances to have glaciers melting under the heat. I remember doing some hiking at Rainier in July and then going to the top of the mountain where it was snowing! We had no idea of snow in July! Canie
