We had just come up over a rocky tor on this morning's excursion and were standing
at the top of a 100 foot vertical dropoff when Zima noticed something in the tree
growing out of the wall below us. I look and lounging in a branch of the tree was
a 10-foot rattlesnake. I have never seen a rattlesnake in a tree, but Zima could
hardly control herself. I gave Zima a hug for you and told her you love all animals
except snakes. That seemed to calm her down and we left without incident.
