Pacific Antarctic aftershock closer than you thought

Don, I also thought that Pacific-Antarctic Ridge forecast was also pretty darn good. But for the purists, the main event was not within your 40 km range and it was not in your magnitude range. So much for the bad news, now for the good - NEIS is reporting the following aftershock of that event: 06Aug2001 04:10:13.8 55.9S 122.5W MB=4.7 NEIS SOUTHERN EAST PACIFIC RISE Your prediction was for a Mb 4.0-5.3 at 56.2S 122.4W within 40 km. The epicenter listed above is 35 km from your predicted site and the magnitude is smack dab in the middle of your range. That leaves only the date (which we can't do much about), all other parameters are consistent with your forecast.
