With the exception of two Peru aftershocks, the only events (Mb>4.5) listed by NEIS since the Pacific-Antarctic ridge (PAR) have been an near-field aftershock of that event (Mb 5.6), and far-field aftershocks in Jawa, Indonesia (Mb 5.6, 101 degrees distant from PAR); Central Peru (MB 5.5, 60 degrees distant from PAR) two events in Oaxaca, Mexico (Ml 4.5, 4.7, 72 degrees distant from PAR); an earthquake in Halmahera (Mb 5.1, 103 degrees distant from PAR) and one in Jan Mayen Isl. area (Mb 4.9, 146 degrees from PAR). All these locations were listed in the far-field aftershock forecast posted immediately after the PAR event. The only other event listed (Sakhalin Islands, Mb 5.0) occurred nearly exactly 1 hour (1 hour 14 sec.) after the PAR event and was likely triggered by the Rayleigh wave from that event which would have arrived about 30 seconds before the Sakhalin Island event occurred.
