NEIS has not changed the epicenter of the Pacific-Antarctic Ridge event, but
have increased the magnitude, as expected, to Mw 6.5. This is the largest event
event within 500 km of this epicenter since March 26, 1971 when a Ms 6.8 occurred
and is the second largest event in this area since 1944 (57 years).
