Hey guys and gals, we get 'em in Colorado too!!! We had a Ml 3.1 about 100 km south of Boulder, Colorado today (about 60 km south of NEIS headquarters in Golden, Colorado), and wouldn't you know it - NEIS was off-line for the weekend - that ought to teach them!! Here are the details: 22Jul2001 19:22:45 39.0N 105.1W LG=3.1 NEIS COLORADO This is a very unusual earthquake. It is the largest earthquake located in the region 38.0-39.5N 105-108W since a Ml 3.3 occurred near today's epicenter on January 18, 1997. Only three other events of Ml>=3 have been recorded within 100 km of today's earthquake - on March 16, 1985 (Ml 3.3) and on December 25, 1994 (Ml 3.5) and on January 18, 1997 (Ml 3.3). The epicenter is located near Manitou Springs northwest of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
