Re: Start of a New Swarm? |
Hi Michael & Lowell, Fillmore seems to have its moments where it gets hot and then nothing to big occurs. For me, I'm keeping my eyes focused on the Santa Monica Fault where it just about runs out near the mountains. I've got a gut feeling in the future, that's where the next big shaker is going to occur. Yeah, we're out here. Now, here's one thing I've pondered for many years and I think Lowell would bring some sense to this theme. Some years ago there was a movie called "Crack In The Earth." Some scientists put a bomb inside of a volcano that was on an uninhabited island. It caused this crack with earthquakes and some area's had huge columns of firey hot lava coming out. There was great fear that the crack would run the entire distance around the globe and the outcome was uncertain. So, Lowell, or anyone who wants to field this. If the scenario occured, is it possible to create such a crack by detonating a volcano? More than curious to know.
